Berk-Tek Introduces Smaller 10G UTP Cable for Limited Distance

New Holland, PA – March 15, 2010…Berk-Tek, a Nexans Company, a leading copper and fiber optic cabling manufacturer, announced the introduction of their new 10G Limited Distance (LD) UTP cable, featuring a significant reduction in the cable diameter versus existing category 6A UTP cables. The Berk-Tek 10G LD cable is designed to support IEEE 802.3an 10GBASE-T to a maximum distance of 60 meters specifically in high density applications such as data centers.
